Christine Barrow

Professor and Writer

Since retirement as Professor Emerita from the University of the West Indies, Barbados, Christine Barrow has participated in creative writing courses and written short stories. She was a participant in the 2010 Cropper Foundation Writer’s Workshop in Trinidad and Tobago and in the 2015 Callaloo Creative Writing Workshop in Barbados. Her ethnographic research on family and children, gender and sexual rights informs her stories. They have been published in BIM: Arts for the 21st Century, Poui: The Cave Hill Journal of Creative Writing, and The Caribbean Writer. In 2015, the story Panama Man was shortlisted for the 2015 Small Axe Literary Competition.
