Elaine Savory has published widely on Caribbean and African literatures, especially poetry, drama and theater and women's writing. She has written extensively on Jean Rhys and Kamau Brathwaite, and has also published poetry. At the moment, she is completing work on Bruce St. John and Brathwaite, guest editing a special ecocritical issue of JWIL and writing a memoir. She teaches at The New School in New York City, in Literary Studies, and spends as much time as possible in the Eastern Caribbean.
