Celeste St Hill has tutored creative writing to over 1,400 children in various Primary Schools and Young Writer’s Clinics across Barbados through the National Cultural Foundation’s Writers in Schools and Education Programme (WISE) since 2003 and individually and in small groups through her business, Children Fully Alive. She is also a Trainer of Trainers, instructing teachers on how to teach creative writing to children effectively through programmes hosted by the NCF, the Ministry of Education and Children Fully Alive.
Celeste is the recipient for the 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015 NIFCA Literary Arts Teacher’s Prize and is the holder of the 2013 NIFCA Literary Arts School Shield and Education Award. Most of her children gain an A in the English Essay component of the Common Entrance Exam.
Celeste is also a writer, artist and storyteller and specializes in sparking children's creativity and imagination for writing and life.
