Tennyson S D Joseph holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and is currently a Senior Lecturer in Political Science, and Head of the Department of Government, Sociology and Social Work at the Cave Hill Campus of the University of the West Indies. His work revolves around Caribbean Political Thought, Globalisation and Anti-colonialism, Sovereignty and Decolonization and the post-1945 Political History of Saint Lucia. His publications include General Elections and Voting in the English-Speaking Caribbean 1992-2005 (co-authored with Cynthia Barrow-Giles), and Decolonization in St. Lucia: Politics and Global Neo-Liberalism 1945-2010. He is a weekly Columnist in The Nation a Barbados daily Newspaper.
