Jane Bryce is a Professor of African Literature and Cinema at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill. Born in Tanzania, she was educated there and in the UK before gaining her PhD in Nigeria.
Elaine Savory has published widely on Caribbean and African literatures, especially poetry, drama and theater and women's writing. She has written extensively on Jean Rhys and Kamau Brathwaite, and has also published poetry.
